The pure Power of intercessional prayer
In 2010,the movie , Clash of the Titans : Release the Kraken came out. I write now about the anti-thesis of that destructive power. The Power I speak about is the most ever. It is the Power of prayer. In this case it is the power of intercessional prayer.
My Mom was a devotee of the Mother of God, second only to Her Son in His magnificent triune-ness. She probably averaged ten rosaries a day and went to daily mass. She credits her intercessions and the resulting grace of our Divine Son – so beseeched by His mother, with keeping my dad around a lot longer than he should have, a victim of POW camps in the Philippines and Japan and diseases including Beri Beri and Diphtheria. He made it through four heart attacks and was trimming apples trees the day he died at seventy-nine.
When I was a child our daily routine before supper was to kneel and say the rosary. All I really remember is my knees hurt!
Over the years I too have beseeched our Mother, the Greatest Lady, more and more since I aged. For years I directed my intercessions to people in great need, family members, friends I was asked to pray for or just saying the Hail Mary as a mediation to fall asleep to often listing to the Scriptural Rosary (It’s an APP).
In the wake of recent world events, I found myself praying hundreds if not thousands of Hail Marys day and night. I did not know who to send them all of them for, to so I decided to just let them fly and told the Lady she could do what she wished with my endless praying, always invoking her Son. I pictured them as thousands upon thousands of Japanese Lanterns that when lit, float upwards into the heavens. Their light is so bright it is almost like a searing platinum gold radiating rays of glory, pieces of a star!

What if even one more of us ‘released the Hail Marys’ to combat the destructions of todays Krakens of which there are more and more.
Through the grace of her Son, she will help. I’ve seen it happen often in my life.
And to further the battle tilting for the better, I will continue to follow the last two commandments He left us with…
Love Him and Love everyone created in his image and likeness.
See – there is something all can do to fight the forces of evil, so prominent in its presence everywhere.
